Dan and Tyke
These are Dan Burke and Tyke
Moses' trucks, two Vermont natives, cruiserheads, and avid off-roaders.
Tyke, one of the most skilled
fabricators I know, who custom built a tub and rear frame for my old '74
FJ40, lives in Bennington just north of the Massachussets border.
Dan jokes that Tyke thinks the Mason Dixon line is the Vermont Massachussetts
line which makes me laugh just thinking about it.
The green truck is Tykes
and where else but Vermont would you find one of the beefiest Cruisers
ever built (the green one) weighing in at maybe 7000lbs, including chain
saw, rock bar, and tons and tons of extra steel. Note the pipe welded
to the rims to protect the tire stems along with everything else.
The Orange truck is Dan's
and also boasts a custom Tyke Moses 1/4" thick steel tub. The Grey
Mini truck is a truck that they were selling about a year ago. I'm
not sure if it's still there.
Tyke does great work and
if you ever need any custom fabrication or anything of the sort give him
a ring. He's super knowledgable about cruisers in general and their
mechanics, Weber carbs, etc etc. He's located about 1 hour from Albany
in Bennington. Email him at farmboy@sover.net
