I have found the following vehicles with the
4.3 diesel V6 in a rear-wheel-drive
package needed for a conversion:
Monty Carlo 1982-83
Malibu 1982-83
Buick Regal 1982-83
Oldsmobile 1980-85
rear wheel drive "Cutlass, Hurst/Olds"
These engines have the typical
350 bellhousing bolt pattern.
The front-wheel-drive engines
will not work unless you use a transmission
that will bolt to a 2.8-3.4
60 degree v6 engine, at least that is what I
understand.
For those willing to try
this, a turbo from a 2.2 turbo Dodge whatever at
about 3-5 psi boost will
net up to about 25% more power without internal
engine modifications.
Of course, easier said than done. Be good for
altitude compensation though.
Some of this information
may not be quite right, so give me a break if I am
wrong. I am still
looking around for more information, so stayed tunned.Furthermore with
adapters from Advance Adapters
and others there are a lot of options. |
